A Competitor....

Another reading enthusiast, Carl, has suggested a few other titles, "The Golden Ass" by Some Greek Guy, "The Tempest" by Shakespeare, "Travels of Sir John Mandeville" By sir john mandeville and Sir Gwain and the Green Knight, by Tolken, Beginning Perl, By Simon Cozens. Carl would like everyone to know that The Golden Ass is a really, really good book and his interest in having the book group read it has ABSOLUTeLY nothing to do with the fact that he has a report due next week on this very book. It is, he assures me, mere coincidence that the other books suggested are also part of his required reading for his lit. class. Welcome Carl!

A new Book

Greetings Members!

Thanks for making it out tonight! I've had several requests to add another book to our reading list. I have to admit, I've had a difficult time picking another book to follow Silent Planet. The posts and discussion on this book were vibrant, brilliant and at some moments just plain genius. It seemed almost pointless to continue the group. Having discussed life, death and everything in between what else was left but politics and we all know no intelligent conversation can be had on THAT subject. After careful thought I narrowed down the choices to three, "The Mullet in History" By SkEye Planet, " "Nobody Cares, but I'm Gonna Say it Anyway" by Bill Clinton and "No More Mondays" By Dan Miller.

I have chosen, "No More Mondays"by Dan Miller. Its a great book for any of you who've had a dream and those of us who don't think we're smart enough to have a big idea. Read by April 20th.
